How long can I hold my qualifications through the MQP and/or EVEP if I leave the industry?
If you are enrolled in the MQP and/or EVEP and all annual requirements are met, your qualifications will be extended for up to five years from the date of termination.
What happens to my qualifications if I don’t participate in the MQP and/or EVEP?
If you do not participate in the MQP and/or EVEP and are out of the industry for two years, your qualification(s) will no longer be valid. To return to the industry you will need to requalify by retaking the exams.
What is the fee for the MQP annually?
$100 annually.
What is the fee for EVEP annually?
$35.00 annual fee for AG EVEP
$35.00 annual fee for IAR EVEP
Can I join the MQP or EVEP if I still hold some active registrations with a member firm?
Yes, if your member firm will not hold a specific registration, you can enroll in the MQP or EVEP for that qualification only.

What happens if the MQP CE requirement is not completed by the deadline?
Your registrations will be marked as CE Inactive. If the registrations are CE Inactive for two years, they will expire and will no longer be maintained through the MQP.
Are firms obligated to communicate about the MQP or EVEP to their associates?
No, member firms are not obligated to communicate information about the MQP or EVEP to terminating persons. FINRA will send out notifications via email addresses listed in FinPro.
What registration categories are eligible for the MQP?
Most FINRA registration categories, including but not limited to the GS (Series 7), IR (Series 6), IB (Series 79), can be enrolled in the MQP. Please review the FAQ on the MQP page for more information on registration categories that are not eligible for the MQP.
Can I obtain a waiver to enroll in the MQP or EVEP if my qualifications recently expired?
No, you must enroll in the MQP before your qualifications expire. There are no waivers or exceptions granted.
If I enroll in the MQP just before my registrations expire, what CE will have to be completed?
Once enrolled, you will be assigned any CE that has become due within the two years since your registrations were terminated.
